With years of observing and interacting with world leaders, Hollie translates aspects of their world into a fictional island where twists and turns wind around the lives of her characters. These complex story arcs evolve around the story of her lead character Ana, who is both flawed and a survivor, as are many of the people who navigate the dangers of the real world of dictatorial regimes.
