In early 2017, a 39-year-old secretary in Kinshasa, Nancy, was brutally gang-raped at gunpoint by three masked assailants. Her young sons were forced to witness the horrific ordeal. Instead of receiving support, Nancy was ostracized by her family and community, leading her to flee to a refugee camp. Tragically, she discovered she was pregnant from the assault. Despite the challenges, Nancy bravely chose to raise her child in the camp.

She is just one of millions of Congolese suffering from the ongoing conflict. With violence escalating, a quarter of the country's population is displaced, desperately needing humanitarian aid.
